3. Compared with the constant darkness at pole regions, the obvious days and nights at equator regions enable astronauts make use of natural lights, rather than artificial lights, to better explore and observe Mars' surfaces.

Cons: Pole regions
1. Compared with the extreme cold at pole regions, the extreme temperature changes at equator regions are more fatal, because equipment and machines may crack in the process of heat-expansion and cool-contraction. Besides, current techs can ensure the equipment and machines work well in extreme cold.
2. Fuel is so heavy that astronauts are unable to take enough fuel to Mars for launching back to Earth. They have to make use of hydrogen fuel produced from water, which exists in the form of ice and is more available at the pole regions than at the equator regions.
3. Despite of the constant darkness, there is also constant light for 6 months at the pole regions, during which astronauts are able to explore; another additional advantage is that astronauts can make use of the ice to build shelter walls to protect them from the strong sunlight radiations, which is more harmful at the equator regions.

In many places, it has been typical for teachers of high school students(aged 14-18) to lecture or lead a discussion while the students listen and take notes for most of the school day. However, this is not an effective way to prepare students for careers in the modern workplace. A better way to do that is for teachers to spend most of the school day on student-led discussions (in which students frequently present their ideas and discuss them with the class) and project-based activities (in which students do their own research and work together while the teacher is available to help them as needed).
