【上午场】

Do you agree or disagree with the following statement? To truly know about a county, it is necessary to learn a major language of this country? Use specific reasons and examples to support your position. 【重复2020年7.25】

I totally go for this statement.

Cuz on the one hand, language carries certain cultural values. For example, in Chinese, when we are conveying the wish for other people to have a great new year, we say something like “gong xi fa cai,” which means “may you make a fortune in the year coming.” This poses very sharp contrast with people from the English-speaking world.

On the other hand, although translations can be an important bridge from people from two different countries as they try to know each other, there is no word in one language that can match with those of another 100% perfect. There are always subtle differences, for which it is better to learn the other language than using translation.

有一些昆虫会生活在一个很大的集体当中，而他们往往没有一个核心的领导来帮助他们来做决定，他们往往有一种群体感应的方法来做决定。在这个群体当中，有一些人专门负责去做探索，如果他觉得有一个方向，看起来很好的话，那么其他人就会去一起努力。当一旦有足够多的昆虫都做了这个选择的时候，那么这个群体就知道应该一起往这个方向去努力。

例子是ants，rock造nest。石头碎了要找新的nest，一只觉得一个地方好，就告诉另一个，第二个蚂蚁也觉得好，就一直这样循环着告诉下一个蚂蚁，然后他们就聚集起来，新nest就造好了

TASK 4

如何解决role conflicts

办法就是选一个好的放弃另一个，具体解释了一下 high priority的就choose，lower priority就放弃，

例子，你sick 你就会去看医生，而不是去本来约好的meeting。
