使用“thing或“stuff”意味着你不知道如何描述一个物体或一些现象，暴露了自己的词汇匮乏，所以建议考生一定要学会用详细的词去进行描述表达。

downcast

经常有同学反映考试的时候一紧张，要写“好”，只能想到“good”，要写“坏”，也只能想到“bad”....确实这两个词是非常初级的词汇，这些词不仅仅简单基础，无法体现出你的词汇量，也不能表示事物不同程度的“好”或者“坏”。

 高级词汇虽好，但是一定要弄清词意与语境才运用，也要注意不同单词在表达程度和感情色彩上的区别。要知道，英语的语义是依赖具体的语境而存在的，在不同的语境中，相同的词汇或者短语可能具有不一样的意义。
