模考44 Task 4
Sample Answer
Well, the professor gives us a lecture on scope creep meaning that the degree of the project initially agreed between the client and the business may expand more than the expectation of the business. The professor demonstrates an example of his friend who is a contractor. One time, he was employed by a woman to set up a wooden fence around her backyard. After orally negotiating the price of the construction work, this friend began working without signing a written contract. When he was about to complete the job, he was told that the fence was supposed to be painted in white, which shocked him a lot because the idea never occurred to him and was not included in their previous agreement. However, when he confronted the client, she insisted that a white fence was exactly what she had imagined and that was why the man was hired. Eventually he had to make a compromise and paint the fence white for free. To sum up, this is what is called scope creep.
