In the lecture, the professor talks about scope creep, and he uses his friends’ experience as an example. So, his friend owns a company that does construction and is often hired for house or yard improvement. So once a woman hired him to build a fence around her yard, and they quickly settled on the price for the job, and made only verbal agreement rather than a written one. So, when his friend almost finished the job, the woman said she wanted the fence painted white. His friend said that the painting was not included in the work, however the woman insisted that she thought when she hired him to build the fence, the painting was included. They argued and finally his friend agreed to paint the fence without charging extra, just to be nice, though he was unhappy.
