模考43 Task 6
Sample Answer
Well, the professor gives us a lecture on two ways in which animals provide themselves with food. The first one is growing food to meet their demand. For example, damso fish, in order to eat the seaweed it needs, preserves the plant by getting rid of the parts of some other plants which are taller than the seaweed and hinder their sunlight. In this way, the seaweed turns out to be a regular and consistent food supply to the damso fish. The other method is looking after the source of food. For instance, a type of black ants particularly enjoys the sweet nectar produced by aphides, a sort of teeny insect. For the sake the nectar, aphides are well protected by the ants. The ants facilitate the growth of aphides, keeping the insects from being caught by other predators, giving food to them, and even taking their eggs back home to rear them. All in all, these are the two methods adopted by animals to maintain their food.
