T6
The professor talks about 2 different ways that animals can provide themselves with food. The first way is cultivating plants. For example, there’s a kind of fish called damso fish that like to eat a special kind of seaweed. So, if other plants start growing over the seaweed, the damso fish will remove those plants. In this way, they can protect the seaweed from being overrun and damaged by other plants. So, the damso fish will always have a supply of food ready to use. The second way is that some animals will take care of other animals as a source of food. For example, the ants will take care of some tiny insects called aphids. The aphids produce sweet liquids that ants like to eat. So, ants guard the aphids from being eaten by other animals; and the aphids will provide them with sufficient food.
