　　When they had reached a critical point along the river, Catherine finally broke down and cried crocodile tears.

　　Martha helped Catherine stand up. It wasn't so cut and dried crossing the river, however.

　　Crowding out fears of drowning, they tried to cut across the river until the water was up to their shoulders.

　　It never crossed their minds that they would survive, but after the river culminated in a small waterfall, the girls were able to crawl out on the other side.

　　The next day, back in the village by the lake, the main hall was crowded with the rest of the team.

　　But they didn't know the girls had been kidnapped. Instead they were angry that they weren't there.

　　And then she explained to everyone where they had been.

　　They didn't believe her at first, but when no one could cure Catherine of the shakes, they noticed that she was traumatized.
