不论是对初次备考托福, 或是有过初考经验想要进一步提高写作的同学而言，提分必经的一步一定是“单词”。那么如何才能高效地记忆单词呢?哪些单词是提分高频词呢?

　　Let’s have a look into the “myth” of it!

　　答案其实很简单：the “bank” of words just lies in the Integrated Writing[综合写作]. 考生常常认为“综合写作”是学术类写作，并且将大部分精力花在听力上，却忽略了综合写作里的“学术词汇”常常也是独立提分的高频词!

　　举个非常简单的例子：

　　综合写作TPO3：荷兰画家伦布朗(Rembrandt)的一幅画作是真是伪?

　　开头段：Rembrandt is the most famous of the seventeenth-century Dutch painters. However, there are doubts whether some paintings attributed to Rembrandt were actually painted by him. One such painting is known as attributed to Rembrandt because of its style, and indeed the representation of the woman’s face is very much like that of portraits known to be by Rembrandt. But there are problems with the painting that suggest it could not be a work by Rembrandt.

　　其中的词组“attributed to”(归因于…的)放在独立写作中就可以写出非常棒的句子～

　　例如，“出国学习使得年轻人开拓视野”可直译为：

　　Studying abroad makes young people expand their horizon.

　　简化版：Studying abroad expands the horizon of young people today①.

　　那么如何用attributed to这个词组进行改写提升呢?

　　第一步，宾语(结果)部分提前：the expanding horizon is attributed to…

　　第二步，丰富并完整句子为：

　　The expanding horizon attributed to studying abroad will be a precious experience for all youths②.

　　对比一下①和②两个句子，语言表达的提升是显而易见的。

　　类似的例子很多，比如“contribute to” (TPO14), “allow...to...” (TPO13), “promise to” (TPO21)都可以将以上的句子进行进一步的paraphrase。
